Agricultural Harvester Belt Use and Maintenance Methods

Nowadays, with the development of mechanization, agricultural harvester has become the main force of crop harvesting, which reduces the intensity of manual labor and greatly improves the efficiency of work. The agricultural v-belt is an important accessory that plays a major role in the transmission power on the harvester, if used and maintained improperly, it is easy to cause early wear and tear, damage and so on, which not only increases the cost of replacement, but also time-consuming and laborious, so the correct use and maintenance of the harvester belt is particularly important, which is also the knowledge that agricultural mechanics need to master.

  1. the harvester uses a v-belt is matched with the pulley to achieve the transmission of the belt. If the bottom surface of the belt is in contact with the bottom surface of the pulley groove and generates friction, it proves that the two are not matched or are worn out, and then one of them needs to be replaced according to the situation.
  2. When the harvester is working, the belt pulley should not swing too much, and any abnormality should be checked in time. If the swing is too large, check whether the pulley disc is deformed, whether the pulley is installed properly, whether the pulley shaft is bent and whether the bearing is worn out, and then eliminate it.
  3. If the v-belt is too loose, it will slip and cannot drive power effectively. It should be checked and adjusted diligently to avoid excessive belt wear, elongation and shortening service life, and also pay attention to prevent the belt body from taking up oil and slipping.
  4. Long-term unused harvester should relax the v-belt, dismantle it and store it separately in a cool and dry place, and try to roll it when hanging it.
  5. If one of them is damaged and needs to be replaced, the remaining ones should be replaced together, and the new and old ones should not be mixed.
